In Switzerland the responsibility for the accreditation of universities rests with the Cantons. The council for education of the Canton of Uri legally accredited Educatis as a University on the 10th of October 2003. (The Canton of Uri is one of the 3 Cantons that founded Switzerland on the 1st of August 1291).
Educatis is the youngest university in Switzerland and the only private university in Switzerland with a legal university status.
With its research projects the Educatis University focuses on highly innovative projects that contribute to finding new solutions in the fields of the respective faculty. Furthermore Educatis promotes and supports international projects of its professors and lecturers.
