The standard duration for degree (Dr. oec./DBA) completion is about three years.
The doctoral program at EducatisGSM is organized into three broad categories:
(a) The doctoral seminars (Educatis University) (b) The scientific publication in a professional journal (c) The doctoral dissertation and defense of the thesis

On the path to the DBA/Dr.oec. each student must complete the seminars specified. Fulfilment of the seminars indicate a student has achieved a broad knowledge in the basic disciplines relating to the study of management. In addition to seminars, students in each discipline must engage in research apprenticeships and submit at least two research papers which must be published in a high standard journal. After completing these requirements, a student becomes a doctoral candidate; the progression to candidacy signifies that a student is prepared to focus on researching and writing the dissertation. The standard time for degree completion ranges from three to four years.
The doctoral program at EducatisGSM is organized into four broad categories:
Courses Requirement
Each area of study requires its students to complete a minimum number of seminars and in-class seminars (colloquia). Semester 1 and 2 of the Program are focused primarily on fulfilling the coursework and colloquia requirement and defining the doctoral dissertation. A student normally takes the courses during the first and second semester, or alternatively until these seminars requirements are completed. The seminars and colloquia are:
Block 1. OPENING PROCESS At the beginning of the program all students meet for two days with the goal
 | Getting to know each other and the exchange experiences during the program
| | Receiving an introduction to the process of the program |
Block 2. SPECIFIC PROGRAM The second block focuses during a five days colloquium on two topics: | New Paradigms of Management
| | Presentations of the topic, concepts and approaches of their dissertation project |
The colloquium is assessed by active attendance to the discussion and/or by scientific assignment and a progress report concerning the results achieved and plans for future work on the dissertation. After successful conclusion 3 ECTS credits are awarded for this block.
Block 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY PROGRAM
All Students must take two methods courses and the colloquium:
 | Research Methodology / Design of Field Research
| | Theory of Science |
The seminars and the colloquium (five days) are assessed by a written examination or completing a scientific assignment or a combination of both methods covering all of the relevant material of the seminar and the colloquium. After successful conclusion 8 ECTS credits are awarded for this block.
Optional colloquia
During the second and third year of the program optional colloquia are offered with the goal to discuss the dissertation project with the supervisors in Poland (ORGMASZ).

Two articles are required to be published prior to the opening of the doctor's procedure as regulated by Educatis University and the Polish law. One publication will be published in the monthly journal of ORGMASZ and the other publication may be published in a professional journal. Three copies of each publication must be submitted to Educatis. After successful conclusion 2 ECTS credits are awarded for each publication.

The process of the doctoral program ends with three oral exams (Management, Economics and Language*) and the public defense of the thesis. The doctoral dissertation, which must focus on a topic of Management, is the culmination of a candidate's research; submission of the thesis represents the completion of the final requirement for the doctoral degree. The length of the thesis will vary depending on the specific degree.
The defense and the oral doctoral exams are requested by the State Law on scientific degrees in Poland. They will be organized in accordance with decision made by the Scientific Council of ORGMASZ Institute and Educatis University. The student must take the examination in Management, Economics and the Language.
