The Educatis Scholarship Programme (ESP) offers scholarships to financially indigent students with an excellent first degree from countries, where Educatis University has an office or maintains a partnership. The scholarship consists of a significant reduction of the fees.
The rules for granting a scholarship are applied strictly without any exceptions and assessed individually.

 
- Academic achievement
The achievement needs to be demonstrated with an excellent first academic degree. The grade of the first academic degree needs to be at least 85% of the maximum grade achievable in the scale of your country, i.e. a grade “very good” or an equivalent wording. According to the grade system of Educatis University the mark needs to be between 1.0 and 1.3 respectively “A” according to the ECTS grading scale system: http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/socrates/ects/index_en.html (see also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPA)
- Tests
The applicant needs to pass a GMAT and a language test with the following results: GMAT test with a score of at least 650 TOEFL test with an IBT score of at least 100 or a CBT of at least 250 IELTS test overall score in Band 7.5.
- Personal background
The applicant needs to be a permanent resident of the country where scholarships are assigned.
- Interpersonal skills
The applicant shall demonstrate and prove extracurricular and community service activities.

 
For indigent students a limited number of scholarships are available with the following conditions: - The achievement needs to be demonstrated with an excellent first academic degree. The grade of the first academic degree needs to be at least 85% of the maximum grade achievable in the scale of your country, i.e. a grade “very good” or an equivalent wording.
- The regular admission to the program requirements must be met. The documents must be legalised by the Swiss embassy or consulate.
- Applicants need to submit an essay stating why they deserve the scholarship.
- Her/his annual gross income shall not exceed USD 5’000 in local currency. The financial situation must be confirmed and legalised by the Swiss embassy or consulate.
- The student must not have been found guilty of participating in any criminal incident. S/he needs to present records which must be legalised by the Swiss embassy or consulate.

 
Students with a scholarship are evaluated continuously. The scholarship will only be maintained if the two following criteria are met throughout the studies: - The final average grade of the last three examinations must be at least 1.9 according to the scale of Educatis University.
- The student with a scholarship needs to be involved in community activities. The contributions e.g. can consist of training and consulting activities to help enhance business capacities and competitiveness of small-sized enterprises especially in the informal sector. The activities are evaluated with a report from the beneficiary and the student every six months which in turn must be confirmed by an international governmental or non-governmental organisation chosen by Educatis University.
